ARTWORK

The core content of Homo discens contains figure drawings and oil paintings by the author. At deeper levels of the site, selected works from the art history canon also have been pressed into service.

The Homo discens project was created by Andrew Brown, who is a teacher of Theory of Knowledge at the French American International School in San Francisco and a figurative artist.

The Homo discens project is a work of synthesis. It makes little claim to original thinking. The task has been to select, distil and present the work of others in a coherent, perusable form. Homo discens also aims to please the eye.

The project is a work in progress. Critique and suggestions for improvement are encouraged.
